Mrs. Abernathy has selected Cas Lam for high school student of the week for taking the time to go above and beyond during her fall break. She took a four hour detour in order to visit and photograph Welch, West Virginia, the primary setting for the memoir The Glass Castle, which tenth graders read in class.
