We will be holding our second annual Secret Families Race at Ball Gym on November 16th at 2 p.m. We recently sent out a form to purchase special edition Burris Holiday shirts and all of the proceeds will go to Secret Families of Delaware County. Secret Families of Delaware County helps families who are in need during the holiday season. If you would like to read more about this amazing organization, please visit http://secretfamilies.org/default.aspx. Last year we raised $2346.93 which was enough to sponsor FOUR families! This year we have some amazing teachers and staff who will participate in a bobsled race. The donations from this event will be going to Secret Families to sponsor families in need; so let’s go all out for this event! We will have containers set up outside the front office and we will give each teacher an envelope to take donations in the student’s homeroom. Whichever elementary, middle and high school classes raise the most money will win a hot chocolate and pajama party! The tables will be set up outside of the front office to accept donations. We will be accepting donations from November 8th to November 16th. The ENTIRE student body will be a part of this BIG event! Please put your donation in the jar of the team that you think will win the BIG race! We are so excited for this big event and to sponsor families in need this holiday season!
