Does your student struggle with writing at school? Free tutoring is available! Join our Ball State Writing Boot Camp for kids ages 11-17. Held at Maring-Hunt Library on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
What is Writing Boot Camp? English 350 is a secondary English education writing methods course for students at Ball State. In this Writing Boot Camp, Ball State students will meet with area students and help improve student’s writing skills with a series of standards driven creative and academic writing strategies.
Where and when is it? Boot Camp meets at the Maring-Hunt Muncie Public Library in the main meeting room on the following Tuesdays from 5-6 p.m.:
2/26, 3/12,3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, & 4/16
And on the following Saturdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, & 4/13
Does the student have to come to every session or sign up ahead of time? No! Come to as many or as few as you wish. But, if we exceed 20 students, we will take only the first 20 because of mentor availability.
What does it cost? Nothing!
What does my student need to bring?A notebook or paper and pen or pencil
Can parents leave? No, we ask that you sign your student in and remain in the librarywhile your students work.
